Slingshot infrastructure will be fully shut down on Feb 28, 2026
We are sunsetting the Slingshot mobile app. While the app is being sunset, your funds and on-chain wallet remain safe and accessible. To ensure uninterrupted access, we are providing a secure, web-based recovery process that allows you to retrieve your private keys and migrate your wallet to a compatible provider.

What’s Changing
The Slingshot mobile app will be removed from the App Store and Google Play.
Access to Slingshot wallets will move to a web-based recovery portal.
To ensure you retain access to your funds, you’ll be able to retrieve your wallet’s private key via email.
How to Access Your Wallet
Step 1: Go to the Slingshot Web Portal
Visit: https://slingshot.app
You’ll be redirected to our secure wallet recovery portal.
Step 2: Verify Your Identity
To protect user accounts, identity verification is required. You will be asked to enter:
Your email address
Your password
Your PIN
All credentials must be validated before continuing to key export.
Step 3: Review and Acknowledge Key-Export Risks
Once exported, you are solely responsible for the security of your keys
Anyone with access to these keys can control your funds
Slingshot cannot recover lost or stolen private keys
This action cannot be undone
You must confirm that you understand these risks before continuing. Once confirmed, enter your PIN.
Step 4: Export Your Keys
Once verified, you will be able to view the private keys associated with your Slingshot wallet. These keys enable you to import your wallet into a different wallet provider.
⚠️ Important Warning: Never share your private key with anyone. Possession of the private key grants full control over your wallet and assets.
EVM Private Key (Ethereum, Base, Polygon, etc.)
Your EVM private key will appear as a masked value. You can:
Tap Show to reveal the full key
Tap the copy icon to copy it to your clipboard
Import this key into most EVM-compatible wallets (e.g., MetaMask) using their Import function
Solana Private Key
Your Solana private key (ED25519 format) will also appear masked by default. You can:
Tap Show to reveal the key
Tap the copy icon to copy it
Note: Due to MPC-related nuances, the Solana private key exported here is not directly compatible with many third-party wallets.
You can use a client-side tool like scalarwallet.org to generate a compatible key representation. Once you have exported and securely stored your private keys, select “I’ve Saved My Keys” to complete the process.
How to Import Your Wallet (EVM)
Once you have your private key, you can import your wallet into a supported wallet provider. Please see the dedicated guides below:

How to Import Your Wallet Using Scalar Wallet (SOL)
Scalar Wallet is a client-side tool that allows you to import and use an ed25519-scalar private key to generate signatures. It runs entirely in your browser and does not custody or store your assets.
Why do you need to use Scalar Wallet? Most popular wallets (e.g. Magic Eden Wallet, Phantom) do not support ed25519-scalar private keys. These keys differ from standard ed25519 keys used by most wallets.
How to Use Scalar Wallet
Open the wallet
Enter your private key
Paste your private key into the input field.
Import
Click Import to load the key into the wallet session.
Dashboard
Once imported, Scalar Wallet loads your ed25519-scalar private key account. You will have various options to transfer your tokens. Please ensure you’re on Mainnet option at the top of the page. The dashboard will provide details such as: Address, Sol Balance, Transaction History and Assets.
Transfer SOL
Input Recipient Address
Amount
Click Transfer SOL
You will receive a transaction hash once complete.
Transfer SPL Token
Select the token you want to transfer
Input Recipient Address
The amount you want to transfer
You will receive a transaction hash once complete.
Sign message
Sign message is used to prove that you own the wallet.
Security note:
Never share your private key and only use the wallet on a trusted device.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I export my private keys again if I try to log in after completing the export?
Yes. If you log in again after seeing the Export Complete screen, you will still be able to go through the export flow and retrieve your private keys again.
What happens if I don’t move my assets?
If you don’t transfer your assets:
Your wallet remains accessible via the private key
Anyone who gains access to that key could control your funds
For maximum security, moving assets is strongly advised.
Is my wallet being deleted?
No. Your wallet still exists on-chain. The Slingshot app is being sunset, not your assets. You simply need to import your wallet into another wallet provider to continue using it.
